The SUPER EASY Recipe for Homemade Pancakes.

This recipe is so easy that preparing homemade pancakes becomes a real child’s play !

Traditionally served for breakfast, pancakes will please your whole family, guaranteed!

This recipe is so simple to make that you will even have time to make it during the week!

For 6 gourmands

– 190g all-purpose flour

– 3.5 teaspoons of baking powder

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 egg

– 3 teaspoons of melted butter

– 300ml of milk

What you need

– a large mixing bowl

– a small saucepan to melt the butter

– a frying pan, preferably a good cast iron skillet

Step 1

Pass the flour and baking powder through a sieve. Do not skip this step if you want pancakes with one texture at a time light and fluffy.

2nd step

Make a well in the middle of the flour and crack an egg on the inside.

Step 3

Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Take care not to burn the butter and don’t let it bubble.

Step 4

Add the milk and vanilla extract to the melted butter in the pan and mix.

Step 5

Using a whisk, incorporate the mixture of milk and melted butter with the egg. The secret to getting a dough barely liquid ? Do not add the flour to the liquid mixture all at once. Instead, add the flour little by little with the whisk.

Step 6

Preheat the pan with about 1 teaspoon of butter. Once the pan is hot, pour 1 dose of batter (about 6 cl) and shape it into a round shape. It’s okay if your pancake isn’t perfectly circular, that’s the beauty homemade !

Step 7

Wait until the bottom of the pancake begins to brown before turning it with a spatula. The pancake is ready to be flipped when the dough firmed up slightly and small air bubbles appear on top.


And there you go, your homemade pancakes are already ready to be tasted 🙂

Traditionally, pancakes are served stacked and topped with fresh fruit, such as strawberries or blueberries.

At home, we add a small knob of salted butter between each pancake as we stack them.

Pancakes can be eaten with all the sauces, do not be afraid to try a new composition.

For example, accompanied by baked apples drizzled with honey or Maple syrupthey are just to die for.

You can of course eat them for breakfast, but also for make an inexpensive homemade snack.

It’s quick and really cheap.

And it’s better than any industrial cake!


To easily prepare them during the week, you can store the dough in the fridge overnight.

If necessary, add a little milk so that your dough retains its characteristic “barely” liquid texture.
